Dr. Judy Englert
Dr. Judy Englert graduated from Jasper High School as valedictorian then went onto obtain her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at Indiana University where she graduated with highest distinction in the honors program. She then obtained her M.D. degree at Duke University, where she also completed an ophthalmology residency. She finished her education at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she completed a one-year fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and eye muscle disorders. She moved back to southern Indiana in 1999, where she has enjoyed having her family nearby.
Dr. Englert is trained in taking care of both adult and pediatric patients. She is the only physician with fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology in southern Indiana. She performs cataract surgery, muscle surgery, tear duct surgery, eyelid surgery, and lasers. In addition, she sees patients of any age for eye problems and exams. She currently performs surgery at Memorial Hospital in Jasper on some Tuesdays and every Thursday. She also performs pediatric surgery some Friday mornings in Evansville. She does offer an office in Evansville two Wednesdays per month, which is a satellite of her Jasper office.
Dr. Englert and her husband, Glen, have three children. She is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland, IN. She is also an elected member of Greater Jasper School Board. She enjoys sports and spending time with family and friends.
